Inroductory Tips

Know the Industry in which you are seeking an internship.
Do research on the Internet. Not only does this show you care about getting a job at the company, it will help you answer company specific questions and make small-talk alot easier! For example, you can talk about the company's president, or maybe you saw the company featured in a news piece. This will be a great impression to make.
Be certain of your intentions, expectations and contributions.
You should expect the interviewer to ask you about what you expect to get out of your internship. This is why the internship coordinator asks you a lot of questions beforehand. Companies like motivated people with clear goals... but remember, they are also looking for flexibility and adaptability.
Start a Conversation
Be yourself but make sure you show yourself. The interviewer will think that you don't speak English if you sit quietly and only speak a few words. You have to prove to them that you can speak English. You have to demonstrate that you are motivated, that you know what you are talking about, that you understand them, and that you have the personality for the position. Be as conversational as possible.
Remember to ask questions.
I am sure you have few questions to ask. Almost all interviewers will ask you if you have any questions. You should have some questions ready that are appropriate to your position. Questions are the best possibility to prove to the interviewer that you are genuinely interested, that you know what they are talking about, and that you speak the language. Here are some questions to ask:
  1. How did you get started with this company or did you start this business?
  2. If I were to be accepted today, would I have an opportunity join staff meetings?
  3. If I were to have my internship with your company, who will I report to? How does he or she fit into the organization?
  4. Can you give me an example of my typical day-to-day responsibilities?
  5. What is your dress code?
  6. Is there anything I need to bring with me on my first day on the job?
